Using ALS tablets
Learning for Life provides tablets to use in some live face to face classes
TIP: To use your own phone or tablet for Classroom
Make sure you have the following apps from Google Play/iStore: Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides.
Security every session: Add your Gmail account and take it off at the end
Google Classroom requires that you use your own Gmail address and password
Add your account details when you open Classroom at the start of each session.
Once you have done this, you will be able to use all other Google apps on the tablet (such as Gmail) on your tablet.
IMPORTANT: remove your account at the end of each session
For your own security, you MUST take your Gmail account off the tablet you are using at the end of each session
Steps to remove your account: Settings - Accounts - Choose your email - Remove account
Do your coursework on a tablet
These tips apply on your own phone or tablet as well as ALS tablets
ALS tablets have the following apps installed: Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets
When these apps are installed, you can do all your work in Classroom
Click the Edit button (Crayon, bottom right) to answer a work sheet. A keyboard displays. You can then continue and your work will be saved.
When you are done, tap the Tick (top left), Close, Go back and then Hand in
